Individual Therapy
I believe every individual is indivisible or innately whole. Though trauma fragments how we relate to ourselves, we all have an innate connectedness to all our inner parts. Even the ones that have been exiled.
In the therapy room, I help clients in their journey toward integration. This is developed through the art of noticing. I reflect back when I see relational patterns, body-oriented signals, and adaptations to challenges. With time, patience, and compassion, the insights needed for growth will unfold.
I work with depression, anxiety, shame, guilt, neurodivergence, childhood trauma, religious and spiritual trauma, LGBTQIA+ identity formation, and parent/child conflict.
Depth Psychology
Depth psychology is a Jungian-based therapy that focuses on present-moment body signals, conscious and unconscious processing, as well as following the messages of inner parts.
This process work utilizes mythology, metaphor, and imagination to help move clients through transformation.
Ecotherapy
Ecotherapy is a unique form of therapy that utilizes nature as the co-therapist. Using plants or animals as guiding symbols during periods of growth can be incorporated into the individual therapy process.
Cultural Humility
In a time of division and oppression, I hope a culturally humble position that incorporates power dynamics and
cultivating a culturally attuned atmosphere understanding that each individual is socially embedded and holds both positions of privilege and oppression.
Family Systems Theory
In individual therapy, I still utilize the basic tenents of systems theory. I get to know your family of origin and take a multigenerational perspective on how problems are patterned throughout your family's lineage.
The approach I use most is Narrative Family Therapy, which concentrates on the client's unique perspective of family dynamics.
Adlerian Psychotherapy
For two and a half years, I taught Adlerian Psychotherapy at Adler University. The art of Adlerian is shown in the various interventions that establish encouragement and collaboration as sole tenants.
I am trained in Adlerian Play Therapy, Early Recollections, and Positive Discipline.
Queer, Poly, and Kink Affirming
My practice is fully inclusive of all identities and is sex-positive. I am a member of the Kink and Poly Affirming Clinicians and Therapists (KPACT) and have training in working with folks who practice kink and forms of ethical non-monogamy.
