Individual Therapy
Journey, Balancing Grief and Joy, Building relationship to all parts of self
Service Description
Grow in self-love, self-compassion, self-knowledge, gain stronger and more informed expectations and boundaries, and sharpen your communication skills both verbally and nonverbally. All of us have developed useful and useless ways of relating to self and other. We carry grief and wrestle our way to joy in this constantly changing world. The climate, the seasons, the culture, and our families all shape our everyday lives. How we journey this human path together staying connected to self and all things around us is at the heart of my practice. Take a moment to attune to your will--the part of you that acts purposefully towards your vision of who you are. Do you dare to be imperfect? What challenges lay before you that require the most courage? With integrity and honor, I hold each client's story with gentleness, compassion, and firmness. I work with depression, anxiety, shame, guilt, neurodivergence, childhood trauma, religious and spiritual trauma, LGBTQIA+ identity formation, and parent/child conflict. Through insight and somatic play, I seek to notice the patterns that your body and mind have adapted to and seek to find the purpose of the problem rather than condemning it. The presenting challenge can often feel like an enemy, but with me, we make enemies into messengers and take time to unfold each lesson hidden within. Although trauma may fragment how we relate to ourselves and others, I believe there is an innate interconnectedness to all our inner parts--a holism. I am a nonpathologizing, trauma-informed, kink, queer, and poly affirming, socially responsible practitioner. As an LMFT, I use a multigenerational lens and systemic lens to health and relational well being. I use experiential interventions such as sculpting, parts play, mindfulness, journaling, and early recollections. I work to help you gain greater access to the healer within and attune to the multitude that makes up You.
